Deborah F. Brown

Ms. Brown was elected in 2000 - District 1.  She previously served on the Vance County Board of Education for 12 years.  Ms. Brown was the first female and the first African-American female to serve on the Vance County Board of Commissioners.  She is also a realtor. J. Timothy Pegram  

Mr. Pegram was first elected in 1958, served through 1966 and was re-elected in 1972.  He is presently serving as Commissioner in District 2.  He has served as Chairman of the Board in six different decades.  He also serves as the Chairman of the 911 Policy Advisory Board.  Mr. Pegram is retired from the construction industry.

Danny W. Wright - Chairman

Mr. Wright was elected in 1982 - District 3.  He was the first Vance County Commissioner to serve as State President of the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners (NCACC).  Mr. Wright has also served on the Area Mental Health Board for almost two decades.  Presently, he owns his own Certified Public Accounting firm. Dan Brummitt - Vice Chairman

Eddie L. Wright

Terry E. Garrison 

Mr. Garrison was elected in 1988 - District 6.  Mr. Garrison currently serves as President of the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners and also serves as member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Counties.  Presently he serves as Dean of Workforce Development at Vance-Granville Community College and also is a local realtor.

Scott Hughes 

Mr. Hughes was elected in 2006 - District 7. Mr. Hughes has been actively involved in Public Safety for several years. Presently, he is a Paramedic with Halifax County EMS.
