Deborah F. Brown Ms. Brown was first elected in 2000 – District 1. She previously served on the Vance County Board of Education for 12 years. Ms. Brown is the first female and the first African-American female to serve on the Vance County Board of Commissioners. She is also a realtor.

Dan Brummitt Mr. Brummitt was elected in 2006 – District 4. Mr. Brummitt is a local general contractor and real estate broker. He is actively involved in his community and volunteers with civic and school organizations.

Terry E. Garrison, Chairman Mr. Garrison was initially elected in 1988 – District 6. Mr. Garrison has served as President of the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners and a as member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Counties. He is the owner of TeGarris Realty.

Tommy Hester, Vice-Chairman Mr. Hester was elected in 2010 – District 7. He presently has a Residential/Commercial Rental/Sales Office – Prim Residential Rentals, Inc.

J. Timothy Pegram Mr. Pegram was first elected in 1958, served through 1966 and was re-elected in 1972. He is presently serving as Commissioner in District 2. He has served as Chairman of the Board in six different decades. He also serves on the 911 Policy Advisory Board. Gordon Wilder Mr. Wilder was elected in 2010 – District 3. He retired from Vance County Schools in 2002 and from Quality Equipment, Inc. in 2010. Eddie L. Wright Mr. Wright was first elected in 2000 – District 5. He serves on the Granville-Vance Public Health District Board. Mr. Wright also serves as a minister of a local church. Presently, he owns a bail bonds company.
