When filing starts for the upcoming May primary and City of Henderson Municipal Election, anyone who is interested in running can go to the State Board of Elections website and complete their Notice of Candidacy Form on line. Candidates that are filing can go to the State Board of Elections website: www.sboe.state.nc.us and pull down the Campaign Forms that they will need to fill out at time of filing. You will need to click on “Campaign Finance” then click on “Reporting Forms”. Scroll on the way down until you get to “New Candidate, Party, and/or Other Committee – click on “New Candidate over the threshold” or “New Candidate under the threshold”. This will print down the forms that you will need. This is also for any candidates that are seeking re-election. DO NOT SIGN OR DATE FORMS UNTIL YOU BRING THEM IN.
You can register to vote on-line. You will need to go to the State Board of Elections website: www.sboe.state.nc.us and click on “Voter Registration” – then click on “Voter Registration Application”. You can fill this form out on-line and print it down or you can just print form down then fill out. Once you have filled form out, send to the Board of Elections office.
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 11:00 AM in the Board of Elections at the Henry A. Dennis Building.
