Weather Monitoring Equipment:
Vance County Emergency Operations employs state of the art weather monitoring equipment. Weather conditions play a major role in our day to day operations. For this reason it is crucial that we have up to the minute accurate weather information. This data is shared between both 911 and Emergency Management. This equipment is self contained and is not dependant on cable, the internet or even normal power.

Dispatch Equipment:
The Vance County 911 Center utilizes the latest in computer, radio and telephone technology. Currently we are using touch screen radio consoles, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and the latest in Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) telephone equipment. All this technology comes together to ensure that your calls for help are handled professionally, promptly and accurately.

Back Up Capabilities:
Vance County Emergency Operations is equipped with state of the art back up abilities. These back up systems are tied into all critical pieces of equipment including all radio, telephone and computer systems. These back up devices are auto engaging and can run independently of normal power for long periods of time. The back up systems were designed with one thing in mind, that your calls for help will get through no matter what.

Communications Abilities:
Vance County Emergency Operations has in place some of the most state of the art communications equipment available. Our radio system is built with redundancy in mind. We have access to several different types of emergency communications, from standard VHF/UHF two-way radio to T-1 speed internet based and even two way satellite communication.

Computer Equipment:
Vance County 911 and Emergency Management both utilize state of the art computer equipment. All computer equipment is networked for the purpose of data sharing.
