Brian K. Short, Director Jason Reavis, Assistant Director Who are we? Vance County Emergency Operations is made up of two emergency service entities, 911 and Emergency Management. While independent from one another these two organizations are co-located and work hand in hand with each other. Having these two departments integrated together enhances our ability to plan for and respond to critical incidents and disasters. General Information Vance County Emergency Operations has a total of 15 full time and 10 auxiliary employees. This consists of a two person Emergency Management staff and a 22 person 911 staff including full time and part time personnel.
